If you love refinishing old furniture like I do, I can guarantee that you'll need to sand down a piece of wood furniture to strip it before re-staining it. You'll need an orbital sander, but you'll also need a variety of grits of sandpaper so that you sand it down properly to accept new stain or a topcoat, without all the scratches left in the wood.
